The Optivote now has the option of serial or USB connection. Serial will
continue to be shipped as standard unless USB is requested.
You can now "drop" legacy PowerPoint presentations/lessons straight
into Optivote making them instantly interactive. Create new lessons in
PowerPoint format and still enjoy all the benefits of Optivote including
full reporting with Optivote grabbing the relevant slide.
This is principally an American software product (not part of Optivote)
which is coming into the UK - especially in Higher Education.
End users can use ExamView to build questions for themselves and
mathematical questions are created dynamically by the
software. Several publishers in the USA are offering banks of
ExamView questions with the books once a University adopts them for
courses.
These question banks can now be "dropped" into Optivote giving lecturers
instant content which ties directly to the books they recommend to
their students.
Multimedia files can now be added to your Optivote questions bringing a
wealth of possibilities for more captivating lessons.
More and more end users are looking to integrate their Optivote into
their current systems and the first true integration is the facility
to export Optivote session information into WebCT and generate a WebCT
report.
